Good Afternoon Panther Families~
Hoping you all had a good weekend and were able to enjoy the beautiful fall weather.
I wanted to provide you with an update regarding the school building after the evacuation on Friday. Both Ameren and Ruyle came out to perform inspections and have determined it is safe for all staff and students to return to the building on Monday. With the recent roof replacement, additional upgrades will also need to be made on aging pipes. Therefore, Ruyle will be on site both Monday and during fall break to make additional repairs.
In the meantime, there will need to be adjustments made to breakfast and lunch menu items for Monday. Please see Monday's menu items below:
Breakfast-
Cook's Choice-Poptart, cereal bar, or other item
Fruit
Milk
Juice
Lunch-
Turkey and Cheese Sandwich on Bun
Carrots
Fruit
Milk
I would also like to remind you of our special event tomorrow and personally invite you to "Bring Your Parent to School Day" for our Family Fall Picnic. The event will take place from 1:00-2:00 PM and you will get the opportunity to participate in some fun fall activities. At the conclusion of the event, you are welcome to take your child home for the day. Simply check out with your child's classroom teacher.
I look forward to seeing you all tomorrow!

We appreciate your support, patience, and quick response today - All students made it safely home to their families. We are continuing to investigate the potential of a gas leak, so the building will remain closed to public access for the remainder of the day. See you Monday!
Good Morning Panther Families~
I am writing to let you know that upon arrival in the school building this morning, there was a distinct smell of gas. Ameren was immediately notified by Administration. Ameren advised Administration to evacuate all staff and students as soon as possible for everyone's safety.
All Pleasant Hill staff and students have been moved to our evacuation site at City on a Hill Church. Please plan to pick up your child at City on a Hill Church as soon as possible. Staff will be there to ensure pick-ups run smoothly. Thank you for your understanding and flexibility in this situation.
Yours in Education,
Dr. Lisa Weaver
Superintendent
