The month of November will be a time for Pleasant Hill to show our thankfulness for what we have been given. We will also focus on giving back to those around us who are less fortunate. The organization we will be working with is the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS). LLS is the world’s largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research and providing education and patient services. The LLS mission is to find a cure and improve the quality of life for their patients and families.
Since 1994, students and educators throughout the US have raised more than 233 million dollars to support LLS. Pleasant Hill will be joining the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society this year by participating in the Pasta for Pennies campaign. Students will collect money daily through the month of November to donate to LLS. The top fundraising class will receive a pasta lunch from Olive Garden. Our school goal is to raise at least $600! Students have each received a box to collect their money in. Money from these individual boxes will need to be turned in every Friday in the month of November! Remember, each and every coin counts! Thank you for your support!
